An overwhelming and exhilarating experience that puts you in the middle of the action. Each casualty feels like you've been hit with a heavy breath taking arsenal of arrows, gunfire and explosions. Arrow shots and punctures are felt with tactical like thumps in your back and legs. Gunfire is met with with rapid spirts of compressed air synched with machine gun bursts fired by the characters. The fight and tactical actions scenes were intense to say the least. You can smell the salty air or at least the experience tricks your brain into thinking that is what you smell and feel. Light water splashes against your skin when cresting through the break of the waves and water. Swooping down and diving into the water was a very fluid like experience. Up high through the trees into the sky and swooping down from side to side in flight through the suspended mountainous terrain. The seats had total motion control and were precisely synched with the camera view and action flight sequences. there's a scene where they are walking through a bouquet of 20' tulips and you can smell the damn flowers!!! WHAT? I was TRIPPIN'!! The flight and underwater scenes we unlike anything I had ever experienced. I'm jumping with them And god damn little finger things hitting the backs of my legs during the scenes of these blue monsters start sliding down tree limbs. I mean, I'm submersed in this jungle with the characters. Drops of water are hitting my head and arms. LIKE WHAT? All the sudden, compressed air started being shot into my face and behind my ears. But then the theater filled with its own mist. I was COMPLETELY caught off guard when the seat started moving and gyrating all around!! I mean I was shookith!! What the hell was going on?!? The movie begins in the mist of the Pandora jungle. □♂️ The screen prompted everyone to put on their glasses and a voice started to introduce and preview some of the other films that were coming out in 3D-4K (John Wick 4 and others etc.). Because of this, I didn't even notice that I was sitting in a all DBOX theater. The previews had already started so it was semi-dark by the time I sat down. I also like to be comfy so this raised a slight concern about sitting in what looked like race car seats for the next 3+ hours. I was little surprised because the seats didn't look like they were very comfy nor did they recline which I like in most theater movie scenarios. A perfect scenario for me because I like my space. There were prob only about 7-8 other guests in the theater with me. I entered the theater and made my way to my seat in row G, seat 8. It could have been the weed talkin' but I was pumped to see this highly anticipated film in all its visually stimulating greatness. I entered the theater and was greeted by a nice young man that kind of gave me a side smiled grin like. I'm not a big smoker but it felt right for what I thought I was about to do. Like I said before, I wanted the full experience so I smoked a little weed in my car right before walking in. So, I purchased my ticket online for the 3D-4K experience for approx $28 here in Atlanta, GA. I wanted the full James Cameron Avatar experience because I don't go to the theatre very often. I had the afternoon off so I decided to go and see Avatar, Way of Water for the first time. Its kind of a longer read but it's honest. So my experience was prob a little different then most.
